Grand Prix du Canada 2008

Here are some images I took at Saturday's qualifying session. All were taken with a Canon 1ds using a 70-200 f4 non IS with a 1.4 extender. ISO was set at 250. I was seated in Grandstand 24 Section 5 Row Q. This in the hairpin so the cars enter at a high speed and break hard to about 80kmh. These seats gave a great view. Friday I had seats along the start finish directly across the pits. Terrible seats for taking pictures as you are to low and have to shoot through two layers of chain link fence. In my opinion the "cheaper" seats are better for both picture taking and seeing the action. On the straights they just go by straight and FAST!!!! Unfortuently I was not given seats for race day. Crying or Very sad
