Saturday night I watched the movie "Julie & Julia". For those whom are not familiar with this movie, it is about the famous cookbook author Julia Child. In this movie a fan (Julie) starts a blog chronicling her cooking experiences based on her "inspiration or muse",  Julia Child. At one point Julie questions if anyone is actually out there reading her blog or are her words and thoughts just floating about in cyber space. That made me think about my blog as well as other friends whom blog on a regular basis. So my question to you (if there are any you's) are you out there?

That being said, last weekend I traveled to Toronto by bus (megabus.com). The ticket was only $19 each way. Great prices if you book 3 weeks in advance. So for under $45 I traveled return to Toronto. Great if you don not need a car there. Naturally I had to take some photos along the way. So here is the first…

Due to a bad cold I was photographically out of commission for few days, thus the lack of blog entries. This image is from Parc Île Bizard. It was processed in Photoshop CS4 with technique called HDR or High Dynamic Range. It is the compilation of 3 images each exposed slightly different. One right on and the other two + and - 1 stop. Therefore you get the full range of tones. Enjoy!

Whispy Grasses in the Wind

Took a walk on the wild side... well that is if can call the beach at Parc Île Bizard wild. People were watching myself taking photos and came up asking what I was seeing. Just told them to open their eyes and minds to everyday things... Enjoy!

Lifeboat Revisited

Paul, a member in my photography club (Lakeshore Camera Club) suggested I try doing a "Colour Wash" on the Lifeboat photo posted yesterday. This was a new technique to me, but that is the beauty to being a member in a photography club. Members feed off each other for ideas. Thanks Paul!
